Soap opera and sitcom are two main kinds．Soap opera is a series．Each part of a soap opera is interconnected．A sitcom is a line of humorous stories．It makes people laugh．These stories all happen in a small place，such as a home or a workplace．Growing Pain in the USA and Home With Kids in China are both good sitcoms．
Reality shows and talk shows and game shows
America Idol is a popular reality show．It is something like Super Girl in China．Recently，the famous game show in America is Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader．Talk show is that a group of people come together to talk about some topics with a host．Larry King is the most famous talk show host in America．

R: How much time do pilots actually spend flying a plane?

R: Do pilots eat the airplane food?
P: Yes, we eat business class food! Airplane food changes every season and is very delicious if you don't hate eating lobster (龍蝦) every day! The pilots on the same plane are supposed to make different meal choices so that if one of the dishes causes food poisoning, only one of them will be sick. That way, at least one pilot will always be well enough to fly the plane!
