I became lame（瘸的） in both legs in my childhood. I can’t stand without the support（支撐）of two sticks（拐杖）. Only in my wheelchair（輪椅） can I “ 1 ” .
I still remember the first day at 2 . When I appeared（出現(xiàn)） at the door, everyone in the classroom looked at me in 3 . My face turned red. I went shyly towards my seat.
Being lame, I was afraid to walk in front of my classmates. I was afraid that I might be laughed at. In those days I was very sad to see others walking 4 .

As the bus took us from one side of the city to the' other, Carl and I talked about a lot of different things. The more we talked, the more amazed I became at the two of us really had in common, although we had the difference. I haven't seen him we parted, but the thought of our relationship that day never leaves my mind.
