　　You will never imagine all the strange, fun things inside the factory in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

　　The film came out last summer．It is from a famous children’s book by the British author Roald Dahl．

　　In it, Charlie Bucket is a young boy．He is from a poor family．Charlie’s greatest love in life is chocolate．Every day, he looks at the chocolate factory near his home．It’s the largest one in the world．But its doors have been closed for 15 years．How strongly Charlie wishes he could go inside to have a look!

　　One day, Willy Wonka, the owner, decides to open the factory．He puts tickets into five chocolate bars(巧克力塊)and sells them．The children who find the tickets will visit the factory and see all its secrets! Luckily, Charlie gets a bar and finds the fifth ticket in it．He is going to the factory!

　　In the factory, Charlie and the other four children have one surprise after another．They see a chocolate waterfall, a chocolate river, candy trees and sugar grass．But the other four children can’t help eating too much chocolate．This means big trouble!

　　Will everyone make it to the end of the factory? One lucky kid will get a big prize!

I love my iPhone---it’s my little connection to the larger world that can go anywhere with me. I also love my computer, as it stores all of my writing and thoughts. Though I love these devices(裝置) of technology, I know that there are times when I need to move away from them and truly communicate with others.

I’ve been teaching my history class in this way for many years and students realize that with deep conversation, they learn at a level that helps them keep the course material beyond the classroom.
I’m not saying that I won’t ever change my mind about technology use in my history class, but until I hear a really good reason for the change. A few hours of technology-free dialogue is just too sweet to give up.
