If you ask any young English person where he would like to go for a day, he will say “A theme park, please!” So after the exams(考試), some English teachers take their students to a theme park like Alton Towers for the day. It’s a way of thanking the students for working hard.
Every year, the students, aged 16 at Southside School, go to Alton Towers when they have done their GCSE exams. Let’s ask some students about their day at the park.
Peter: “I didn’t like getting up early. We must meet at school at six in the morning to get on the bus. The journey took 3 hours and we sang a lot of songs when we were on the bus, so it was fun. Then we had several hours at the park.”
